Anime is one of the styles I enjoy tattooing most, though day to day what I do most is illustrative design, fine line and lettering built around each client’s own idea; anime is part of that work, not the whole of it. I do not do flat copies of a single frame: I start from the scene or character you bring me and adapt it into clean linework, thinking about how it will age on your skin, not just how it looks on day one. I work a lot with the contrast between solid blacks and fine detail, which is what makes an anime tattoo read well both up close and from a distance. If you have a very specific scene in mind, bring it; if you just know you want something from your favourite series but not exactly what, we can start from there and design it together.

Anime Tattoo FAQs
Can you tattoo any anime character?
Almost always, yes. The clearer the reference (several images, the angle, the pose), the better the design turns out. If you are unsure about a very specific character, message me and we will take a look.
Is the design yours or do you trace the official artwork?
It is mine. I start from the character or scene you bring me, but I adapt the linework, composition and contrast so it works as a tattoo, not like a screenshot stuck on your skin.
What size does an anime tattoo need to look good?
It depends on the level of detail. A piece with a lot of background and shading needs more surface area so it does not close up over the years; if you want something small, we simplify the design so it holds up well over time.
Can I bring my own reference or do you choose?
Bring one whenever you can. If you do not have anything in mind, I can also suggest scenes or characters based on what you tell me you like.
